Nursing covers

When I was pregnant with Marty I knew I was going to be breastfeeding but did not want to be stuck inside or be forced to run home every time he needed to eat. I knew I could use a blanket to cover us both, but as any breastfeeding mother will tell you getting him latched on required my full attention. So instead of hiding out at home or under a hot blanket, I decided to make a nursing cover. I know that I am not the only nursing mother out there and I wanted to share what I have found to be a god-send with others. If you know of anyone who just had a baby or is going to soon and would like to give her a gift, please contact me.

If you aren't familiar with the idea here is a picture of Marty and myself at breakfast with my grandparents.

Family, Friends and Baseball

A few weekends ago we drove down to my parents to show off Marty to both friends and family. We also got to take Marty to his first Red Sox game at Angel's Stadium. I know his dad enjoyed it, but the fans were so loud that Marty kept getting scared and spent most of the game hiding out under his nursing cover hanging on to my boob for dear life. Nana got a really cute picture looking down into the cover.

That weekend George and I got our first night out since Marty was born. My parents sent us to this amazing restaurant called Mario's Place in Riverside (if you like Italian and are in the area hit this place up). They had live Jazz, which was the perfect end to a great dinner.

On Sunday, my parents threw a family get together, with BBQ, drinks, pool time and a jewelry party. It was pretty cool, it is like Avon or Mary Kay but Jewelry. Very nice pieces.

Here are some pictures of that party, Enjoy!

Da da da DAAAAA!

Hello Everyone!!
It is I, Captain Adorable!
I am here to brighten your day!!

Today Marty is 3 months old!! He is 14.5 lbs and 24.5 inches long.
I know I can't believe it either. It seems like only yesterday that I was calling George at work, telling him to get home as fast as he can. But at the same time it is so hard to remember our lives before him. I guess what everyone tells you is true.

We are enjoying our first summer, hanging out with dad on his new schedule, spending time in the pool at our friends house, in my sweet hat from Big George and Mallory.

Marty is getting more mobile, he can roll him self from side to side, he has not quite gotten him self all the way over but we can tell it is coming soon.

We have just put together his jumperoo, and he makes some of the funniest faces. As soon as i can figure out how to put a video on here, we can show you.

We can't wait to see everyone!!
XOXOXO

My men!!!!
Daddy got me dressed today and we just had to look alike.

Marty is now 12 weeks old!! We can't believe how fast it has gone. He is now 14 lbs and 23 inches long. He is definitely going to be a lady killer, he flirts with anyone he can get his eyes lock on to. The mornings are my favorite time because he gives away smiles like it is going out of style. Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma and Grandpa, Nana and Papa were just here for their monthly Marty fix.

So much has happened in the last month that I would not know were to begin.
First, a congratulations to our friends Manny & Crystal and Brooke & Kyle on starting their lives together. Thank you for letting us be a part of your big days. George looked so handsome in his tux at both weddings I was reminded of the way he looked the day we got married, just a few days over 2 years ago! Wow, it really seems just like yesterday, that I walk down the aisle, but in that same way we have experienced so much since then that it does not seem like only 2 years.

Hopefully now I will be better about posting pictures and keeping everyone updated on Marty and us. We look forward to seeing everyone soon at Marty's second Red Sox Game and at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Love to all
