Something Blue

If you have been following my blog lately you have seen mention of my little brothers wedding this past December. It was such a beautiful event and just recently the pictures came available to view. I love all the great shots of my brother, he looks so grown up and handsome. His bride Kaleigh was gorgeous and I am so excited for them in their new life.  Here are a few picture and the new piece that was inspired by it!

Here we all are in the faux fur wraps I made.
They were super easy and looked great for a winter wedding embellished with a snowflake broach.

The happy couple and our little man!

Marty was one handsome ring bearer and Michaela was a perfect flower girl. Because she is not walking yet, Marty got to pull her down the ailse in a sweet little wagon.

We totally brided him with Cars fruit snack to make it all the way!

And He Did!!!!

Thanks to my In-Laws who took the kiddos home with them George and I got a kid-free night of dancing and having fun. It was a nice break from the 24-7 craziness that is two small kids.

We had a blast being a part of their wedding!

And as I am in a crafty kick I introuduce......

A little Something Blue

Victoria features a romantic Cluster of light blue flowers overflowing with pearl beads.

Each of the 3 flowers is each hand crafted from earth-friendly felt and secured to an elastic headband with Navy Satin ribbon.

The headband measures 16 inches and stretches to fit infants up through adults.
You can find Victoria and other hair accessories by following the above link to Kayla's Kloset on Etsy.

Change is Good.

When I started creating for others my items were directed at new mommies, who like me, were getting used to having a little one to about. This still is part of who I am and I love getting to be involved in new lives through a rondom sort of way through the nursing covers I make.

However, since Michaela was born I have been more and more inspired to craft and create through the time I spent with my kids. Marty and Michaela are a blast to just hang with and it has translated in to my sewing.

Just look at them, they're crazy!
Now I am sewing from them and the things that we get to do together. Like cooking, reading, dressing up and playing around. These guys keep our life changing and change is good.
In following that line of thought I have opened a new shop where I hope to share those things which are now part of our days with other families.

Kayla's Kloset is a place to find that perfect accessory to finish a look, fuzzy leg warmers to keep those rollie pollies toasty as they explore the world, aprons to keep them clean cleaner while "helping" you cook and much more.

Some of the other items you will find here are:

These adorable magnetic letters. Made in soft pinks and greens the alphabet has never looks so fashionable and neither has your fridge!

The colors remind me of a Rose Garden

What a Lovely Rose Garden

Great hair accessories!

I love the way Hot Pink looks with Black and White! Plus I get to play with my awesome birthday present! (Thanks baby! I don't think you knew what you were getting me into : ))
This funky Felt Flower Clip sort of screams Sex and the City at me! Sooo...

Carrie  it is!

I have so many projects flying around my craft room that I can't wait to freeze my fingers off taking pictures of them to share with you.

How Crazy Love Grows!

When I checked the date today I realized that 7 years ago I had no idea what was about to happen.
How my life was about to change.
When I met George, we where merely connected through family/friends, he was the cousin of a friend, he lived in Massachusetts, he was only visiting.

This was never going be more than a random.

Looking back I think, good thing you are a little pushy.
Sometimes.

It means that I can say   "Be Mine"

Isn't it crazy how love grows.

Almost a year of goodbyes in airports.

Trips to Massachusetts and back

 Living, working and growing together.

Getting Married !!

Starting a family

And watching it grow!

Its days like today that I am thankful for the randoms.
And how Crazy Love Grows!

They are so big!!!

My babies are getting so big!
Marty is almost 3 and showing it! Little Guy is tall too, at 38 inches!  He is riding a big boy bike, fully potty trained. No diapers, or Pull ups at night! It is crazy to think that 3 years ago we were getting ready to begin this adventure and now some days I am not sure either of us will make it to April! He is so smart that we constantly forget that he is still just 2 and sometimes feels the need to remind us.
Our little miss is 8 months old already!! I know! She is 24 1/2 inches tall and 15.5 lbs! She has 3 almost 4 teeth, two middle bottom and the top left lateral, the right is working it's way in. That's right not the front teeth, the ones right next to it. She is army crawling, getting on her hands and knee to launch her self forward and starting to couch walk! It is like she just woke up one day and decided she need to check out the world and move.
To add to all the movement, she sure is one chatty girl. With Momma, and Dada down. She even know how to use it. When we were at my parents getting ready for my Brother's Wedding ( it was beautiful by the way!) She started to whine in my mom's arms, turn, looked right at me and proceed to give me the most pitiful Momma, Momma, Momma!
George is doing well. Still working hard and giving us all his love. We were reminiscing the other day that in just a few weeks we will be coming up on the 7 year anniversary of meeting and all the craziness that started. A year of long distance, God know how many cell minutes 3 flights from California to Massachusetts, moving, getting married and sharing the last 4 years of marriage together.
 Amazing!!
This is nuts, I can't believe it or wait for what God will do this new year in our lives!
