Happy Birthday George!!!

This Sunday was George's 26th birthday. Wow is he getting old or what!!! Unfortunately he had to work all weekend but I hear he and the other guys at the station enjoyed his Ice Cream Cake. Grandma and Grandpa Drake were also up this weekend and we had a blast just hanging out with them. Marty loved all the attention and books read over and over and over. Here are a few pics and a video from the weekend.

Thanks for my cool swing Great Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Funday in the Yard

Wow time has flown it seems. Marty is a full on, I got places to go, walker. It is so cute. It seems like every day he is learning a new word or trick or something. We are enjoying the trials and projects of being home owners. Today George seeded the back yard in an attempt to get some grass or at least limit the amount of dirt Sonya brings in.

We washed cars today as well and Marty was a huge help. Checking to see if the water was soapy enough or if all Daddy's stuff in the garage is up to snuff. There were so many photo ops that it made me want my new camera even more, the shutter speed on the little thing we have just won't cut it. Too long and I miss a smile or funny look or him all together. It will be here soon enough.
We love you all and can't wait to share more XOXO

Walkers

We are visiting the Grandparents this weekend to celebrate Uncle Nick and Auntie Kaleigh's College Graduations!!!! We are very proud of them. Meanwhile, Marty decided it was time to start walking. At Kaleigh's grad he just took off, entertaining all of us with his mad skills. I can't believe it.

Here are some awesome pics from the grads for all those who missed it.

XOXOX

Marty's First Hair Cut

Now that the weather is heating up, it was time to get Marty's hair cut for the summer. One would think that is a town of a half a million people there would be a handful of kids salons, but nope. Just one.

And even though it is on the other side of town in Clovis, we will be going back there. They let kids pick out a DVD to watch on there own TV, Marty watched the Little Einsteins. He got to sit in this cool, metal pedal car and play with bubbles.
He did awesome.

He does not even look like a baby anymore just one cool little man. I can believe how much he has changed.

He has started talking more and more, we think he has Bubble, Duck, More and of course Mama and Dada down. He has also started signing bear, it is so cute he gives himself a little hug.
Oh and as grandma and Grandpa got to see on Mother's Day, he puts chap stick on too.

Here are some of the pics from Marty's hair cut and some funny shots of George taking a nap.

Love you all, XOXOX

BUBBLE!!! and New Babies!!!

Marty is doing great! He is getting better every day at walking even though he still needs a finger. Some of his friends are walking on their own now and we hope to spend time with them so he gets the idea and starts doing it too.

The big news is that last night in the bath Marty said what was his first discernible word!!!!! BUBBLE!!!!! Bubble, bubble. Thanks Nana for getting me bath bubbles for Easter. It was pretty cool, because both George and I were there to share in it. We will keep working on it so Marty can show off when we come down.

We want to send out a heart-filled CONGRATS, to Manny and Crystal on the birth of Baby Jimmy, their first. The pictures they have sent us are soooo cute, we can't wait to meet him.

Also, to Aaron, Laura and Paige Panfilio on the birth of their son/brother Grant, he is the cutest little bug. So tiny and adorable.

Wow, I can't believe how many things have happened in such a short time. Whew!

Other than all that, things have been cooling off here at the Arthur House, since we last saw everyone. But as you have seen we have had the chance to add another member to the family and it has been fun. Sonya is doing really well, she is great with Marty, who loves to climb all over her and after her first training class is taking some great walks.

I have also decided with the help of some friends to open my own online shop! It can be found at www.kcartncrafts.etsy.com, there you will find my collection of nursing covers and burp cloth sets. I am really excited to see what people think of my products and to share what I found to be a life saver with other moms. If you are looking for a baby shower gift, please check me out or share the link with all your friends.

We have recently had the opportunity to add a few pieces of furniture to the house, making some rooms, real rooms instead of just toy collectors. Although there are still toys every where.

So, here is the new chair we got for the living room as you can see it gets used all the time. To hold laundry, blankets and the cat.

This is my new desk!!! Our old one had open shelving and no way to hide the cords, and you all know how much Marty loves cords, so it had to go. We found this one at Staples and it fits right in, the stuff is piling up on it like it was always here.
Didn't George do a great job putting it together?!

This is the latest addition our dining room table. We got it at a great price, 50% off the original price. It has finally given the dining room a function and completes the home's living spaces. I love it!!!
