Moved and Kinda Unpacked

So we moved into our New House last Wednesday (it is our one week anniversary, aaaahhh), and we are loving it. The moved went great, just 2 trips with 5 pickups and a trailers and 6 firemen to do all the lifting. Every girls dream?! Haha! Seriously, the guys who helped out where great and definitely earned their pizza and beer.
So that night we slept in our house for the first time and it was great, no loud neighbors or people driving through the gate at all hours. Then the fun started, unpacking, cleaning, unpacking, cleaning, cleaning then unpacking some more.
Plus there were some small projects that needed to be finished, doors to be painted (Thanks Kath, you are a paintbrush master), door knobs to be put on (between George and my Dad) we got a dryer (thanks Nana for doing our laundry), the first fan got hung (Poppa and Grandpa) and Marty's bath got decorated (I love it, Nana got Marty some cool decor for Easter).

We have a ton of pictures but I will just put up a few, a couple of shots of the first day with all our boxes, some of the kitchen in it's state of half unpacked and of course Marty's bath room

Oh and we had our first sleep over, my Dad, and George's Parents and Cousin all came up last weekend to help us get finished. Good thing we have such a big house!!!

We love you all and can't wait for you to come and see our First House, even though you will be here for Marty. I can's believe he will be ONE!!! In ONLY 8 days!!! Holy Moly does time fly.

XOXOX
Here are the pics!

This is Marty's bath, we created at guest friendly Monkey Bath for our Monkey Man.

The first days boxes and kitchen mess, it looks way better now, I promise.

Our slumber party is the (1) formal dining room and (2) the living room (yup that is big Marty in the sleeping bag)

Demo Diary

Oh man, there has been so much going on I can't even believe how different the house looks with just a coat of paint and tile in just a few room. George and big Marty have been at the house all day everyday since last Tuesday. here are just a few pictures of the work that they are doing.

The base color for Marty's room, soon it will have stripes!!

The Grandpa's putting up our Microwave

Poppa getting ride of the hideous Aqua Room.
Funny thing is we still refer to it as the Aqua Room

Poppa's house parked in the driveway

My mom and I cleaning the pantry

Marty has been working hard too. Climbing ladders and eating sunflower seeds.

Poppa is laying the last tile in the Laundry Room.
It is the first room completed!!!!
This is the beginning of the end of painting.

George started the edge work in our bath room just before 6 pm tonight. Hopefully with the exception of touch ups the painting will be done tomorrow!!! (Fingers crossed)

Keys and Demo

That is right we have the keys!!!!!!

This last Thursday we got them and that day George was busy getting the ugly out.
The carpets and the linoleum were trashed and had to be replaced with some awesome laminate and tile. Which we got for a great price.

This is our first Dinner in our New Home!
Pizza and Soda!!!

So, Marty! How do you like the NEW HOUSE?!!

That is right we have finally found our first house!!! We looked at it on Tuesday, put in an offer that afternoon and by 7 pm that night we had a counter and the next day we accepted and started ESCROW!

Yesterday was the home inspection and all is perfect, well the color choices of the previous owner are very questionable but nothing a little elbow grease won't fix. We are so excited. I can't believe that we are finally done looking. Now we just have to wait for the end of escrow and get packing. Here are some pictures of the outside and the entry way.

Nine Months and Growing

Hey there! Marty has grown in leaps and bounds since Thanksgiving and even Christmas for that matter. He is walk/couch/hamper/ottoman walking every where and crawling at the speed of light. It is pretty amazing to watch. We have had a busy past month so I know I am behind on all the pics.

Marty is now 19.5 Lbs and 29 inches tall, has 7 teeth and is becoming a gabbermouth. Here are just a few picture from yesterday when he was officially 9 Months old.

We had such a great time hanging with the Drake Clan and Great-Grandma Cox in Tahoe and are waiting for the pictures to share. We miss you all already and could not have asked for a better present.

We are actively hunting for houses and have found one that we love but with all the economic woes the bank is just taking its sweet time to get back to us. The seller has already accepted and the bank came back with a ridiculous counter so now we are in the stage where we return and wait. Of course they are not returning an answer in the timely fashion in which they implied they would be, so we are keeping our eyes open for other properties and keeping our fingers crossed.

Love you all. Hope to see you soon.
